Tarot Card Readings - Can a Free Online Tarot Card Reading Be Accurate

Free online tarot card readings are widely available on the Internet. The question is ask yourself is whether something generated by a computer can give you an accurate result.

A traditional face to face tarot reading involves an individual choosing a set of cards and a tarot reader interpreting the tarot card meanings of those cards. To do this the reader will use all their skill and intuition, and will often also use feedback from the querent to gain a better understanding of the situation.

If you're hoping to find deep and insightful meanings from free tarot readings there is a good chance you will be disappointed.

The main challange with these programmes is that while they can give a good explanation of the cards that have been chosen or appear in your reading, these are stock explanations. They do not take into account how the cards relate to each other and the difference this can make, so unless you are either able to interpret the cards yourself, or have someone you can take them too, you may be at a disadvantage.

However, there is one situation where these readings can provide you with the level of accuracy you need - so long as you are honest with yourself.

Consulting an online tarot gives you an immediate answer to your question, and you will have an immediate response to the answer that it given - and it is this response that is accurate as it represents how you truly feel.

For example let say you have done an online 6 card reading and card 2 (what you most want) comes out as 3 swords i.e. betrayal and heartache. Now the chances are this isn't what you want and your reaction should be exactly that, absolute denial. But before you throw in the towel at this stage and say it's all a load of rubbish, I would caution you to look at the question in a slightly different way. If, rather than 'what do you most want' the card is showing 'what is on your mind the most' the response may be a more true reflection - the lines in tarot can be very blurry sometimes.

The point I'm trying to make is that to get the most out of a free online reading you want to consider both your immediate reaction to the cards, and then consider the cards to see if there is another way they can relate to your situation.

One thing I would say however is that you will never get the same level of detail from a free online tarot reading as you would from a session with a professional reader.
